Hijab is strictly cultural/traditional

After coming across yet another blog falsely showing islam, I had for my own peace of mind write an article, my goal is to as always educate people about the facts so that they won’t look foolish!!

There is no such thing as Islamic hijab.. There is only traditional/cultural hijab

Of course we will take into account that the cultural influence from other religions is a result to why some women maintain covering of the head either in public of while performing prayers. But Covering of the head was given by divine degree to the messengers sent by God to guide mankind. So saying that covering of the head is strictly cultural and traditional is WRONG. From the the religions that have roots in one another Judaism, Christianity and Islam which all believe in messengers sent and are suppose to believe in One God, you’ll see that they ALL agree that head covering is a compulsion on women.

Judaism on head covering

"Men sometimes cover their heads and sometimes not; but woman's hair is always covered, and children are always bareheaded." [Talmud, c. 200-500 A.D., Nedarim, p. 30b]
"What is the Jewish law? Let not a woman go with head uncovered. This is founded in the Law, for it is said (of the suspected wife) 'the priest shall uncover her head' Numbers 5:18." [Talmud, c. 200-500 A.D., Chetubb, fol. 72.1]
"The priest shall stand the woman before God and uncover her hair...". Rash'i (Rabbi Shlomo Yitchaki, 1040-1105, author of the primary commentary on the Talmud) provides two explanations for the Talmud's conclusion, one, that from the fact that she is punished midah kneged midah (measure for measure) for exposing her hair to her paramour we see that this is prohibited and, two, from the fact that we expose her hair we see that under normal conditions a Jewish woman's hair should be covered. The Talmud in Kesuvos 72a states that the source for this prohibition is from BaMidbar (Numbers) 5:18 which deals with the laws of a sotah - a suspected adulteress -

Christianity on head covering

But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered, disgraces his head. But every woman praying or prophesying with her head uncovered disgraces her head, for it is the same as if she were shaven. For if a woman is not covered, let her be shaven. But if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her cover her head. A man indeed ought not to cover his head, because he is the image and glory of God. But woman is the glory of man. For man was not created for woman, but woman for man. This is why the woman ought to have a sign of authority over her head, because of the angels. Bible First Epistle Corinthians, chapter 11. verses 3-10.



I won't even bother to mention what Islam says on head covering, because i think most muslim women are proof enough on how strongly we feel about covering our heads!!


They don't seek to force women to take their hijab/niqab off their heads/faces.. but they wish them to take it off their minds.

What is on my mind and heart is portrayed by my body and my dress. A classical example is a transvestite. Why does a man choose to dress like a woman? Because in his heart and mind he is a woman and that is portrayed in the manner in which he dresses!

to let others see things from our side

I have no problem with a woman not wanting to follow what is clearly stated in books belonging to religions they themselves claim to follow. What I do have a problem with is them justifying why they don’t follow what is clearly stated, in such they are admitting in a way that their holy books are flawed therefore their entire life and beliefs are based on a lie. You can not pick and choose what to follow. All religions I believe should practice submission.

The Modernized Islam

What is it about islam that the worlds sees the need for it to be modernize. Do they want muslim women to start wearing the latest fashion and be a fashion whore, or perhaps they want the men to stop being protective, after all according the minds of the feminist a woman and man are equal and there is no need for men to look after a woman.

We can all agree that during the years both Christianity and Judaism has been “modernized”, to be honest and totally unbiased have you seen an improvement? If anything I’ll say that they have made several jumps backward. Islam doesn’t need to be modernized because its complete in every single aspect. It deals with everything a person encounters in his/her life and basically has a solution for every problem. If a person agrees or disagrees its up to them, but doesn’t change the fact that we were given a certain standard to live by and certain norms, NON of which anyone can say affects a human in a negative way.

I think what people often forget that unlike Judaism and Christianity Islam CAN NOT fall under the title of religion, because if you study and learn it correctly you’ll realize its more similar to being a vegan or a vegetarian. So when categorizing it, it will fall under more of a life change or way of life then it is religion. So in the future would we be calling for a modernized vegan who eats meat? Wouldn’t that go against the whole idea of being a vegan?

As Muslims we don’t compromise our religion, or sell it for a miserable price. We do not fall victim to our own worldly desires like I’ve seen a lot of other religions do. That is why you will NEVER see a “modernized islam”. For modernization of religion only leads to confusion and chaos. Who I ask is better in making decisions, a mortal or the creator of the heavens and the earth. Are we now pretending to know more than him?

What I’ll say to people of other religions is to be strong in your beliefs. Be steadfast and true, only then you’ll get the respect and admiration you deserve. We aren’t put in this world to please others, for mankind isn’t easily pleased.

Islam encourages Honor killing!!

While surfing the internet i found this blog, this guy totally condemning islam and backing up his arguements by showing two videos. After posting this on a muslim forum, i waited for them to debate and argue different points on the barbaric bahaivour of what they believed to be muslim. Only one person said this act wasnt done by muslims. Very smart guy indeed.

but the fact is that she a non muslim was stoned to death for loving a muslim.

Giving children to shaitaan

There are some parents who say " oh i won't force my children to become muslim, i'll leave them let them make their own decisions" But these same parents think its ok to force their children to become a doctor, lawyer, engineer etc. This mentality is soo stupid because children CAN NOT make logical choices. Its like putting a jar of candy infront a child and say, i'm leaving him to make the right choice, and i'm not going to force him to eat only one. The road to jahannam is lined with appealing stuff, so what would they do leave their kids to travel down that part? They are practically making kids to give to shaitaan.

There is no compulsion in religion

I have never felt compelled to do anything in islam. Islam is a way of life, so if your children follow this way of life from birth, what else would they know? I had only known the islamic way of doing things untill i was like hmm twenty and i started university and was appalled at the non muslim way of life. It frankly disgusted me.
Like going outside without hijab is unthinkable, i wear hijab infront every1 females included who isn't my relation. I even wear hijab infront my step dad, because thats what i know from small. I can't step out the house wearing anything that isn't long and loose cuz i'll feel naked, cuz again thats what i've known from small. Islam is a 24/7 religion and i think some people haven't grasped this concept.

I've always said stupidity is a sin, and obviously since we females seem to love the title "DUMMY" we will end up in a suitable place where all dummies should go. A little self respect portrayed by females would be nice. unfortunately the women who use their..assets and bare all, in my view women who have no respect for themselves and think they are no better than the average female dog, are no longer only non muslim. sadly we muslim women have choosen to follow the oldest occupation. being no more than eye candy and somthing for men to stare and devour. Islam unfair to women?

While their hearts aches for the unfortunate muslim woman, lying in her cold bed all alone while her husband is with his other wife, who knows there might be two such women waiting for this man to grace their presence. How unfair indeed!! A man having more than one wife, and the poor abused muslim woman who doesn’t know her rights allow this. How can she tolerate her husband sleeping with another woman!
Let’s take a trip to the other side, where the grass is greener. There lies the non muslim woman. Wondering if her husband is indeed having a late meeting or if he’s with the secretary. How ironic.
. Non muslims always ask me “how can you agree with your husband (to be) taking a second wife” I smile and I say “at least I know who he’s sleeping with.” As my mom says “Man is Man
. While these so called women who are feminist fight for all these rights they forgot out the most important. It’s a fact that most non Muslim men have extra martial affairs. So while the non Muslim believe that the men are always getting the ripper apples it’s actually us women who are benefiting from the “4 wives” option. But how can we benefit from polygyny? We benefit because polygyny is a protection for us. Because in the non muslim society the “outside” woman has no rights and the man has no obligations towards her. So that is any day he can leave her and she has to start from scratch. Children from this relationship have no rights upon him and he has no obligations towards them. So what’s better I ask you? I man having a wife and an extra maritial affair, or the man having two wives and they both have their rights and him his obligations. Its funny that feminist speak of so many rights for women and they haven’t thought of this one.
I really do feel sorry for muslim men. I wonder if this was an allowance or a means of torture. Imagine two mother in laws. Two places to get nagged. Two houses to supply, two people to clothe shelter and feed equally. If anything a non muslim man has it far easier. They get all the benefits of a wife for less then half the price, then again we muslim women don’t sell ourselves for a small price.
